Solar energy power in Alabama pays in more ways than one might think. Besides the obvious benefit of going green and using energy directly from our sun to power our everyday lives, solar is our future. That being said, the main reason I went solar was the energy savings and the increased value of my home.
Contributing energy back onto the grid.
Ask yourself this question; will I use electricity over the next few years? Obviously, that's the one item we cannot live without, and our power bill is on top of the to-get-paid list and it's usually every month and it's gonna be around $200 bucks. Wouldn't it be nice to reverse that scenario and receive a payment from the power company for the excess energy transmitted back onto the grid by your solar panels.
Return on investment (ROI) for solar energy is above average.
Most people hope for a 5%-7% ROI, and usually the higher the ROI the greater the risk. Solar power has a ROI of 8%-21%, and it's pretty much guaranteed that we're all gonna be using electricity, which means most of us are 100% going to use electricity over the next ten years.
Energy cost stability.
Over the last decade, energy cost have risen by more than 70% in some areas. Solar power allows homeowners to lock-in cost for the next 40 years with usually 10-12 years for total payoff equivalent.
Improved property value.
Homes and businesses with solar power sell four times faster than those without. In addition, increased property value is always a good motivator for going green.
Reduced carbon footprint and environmental leadership.
Solar energy power is clean, renewable and excessively abundant. Unlike greenhouse producing fossil fuels and dangerous nuclear power, solar energy leaves no carbon footprint and contributes to a cleaner more abundant energy future.
Tax and rebate incentives.
With encouragement from the Federal Government and other local and state agencies, most people can save upwards to 50% off solar power by going green now. The Biden Administration just released half a trillion dollars for solar power under the 1.9 trillion build back better plan.
